Research has shown that “likes” trigger the brain’s pleasure centers. This is another layer of media literacy parents have to tackle, to help kids learn how to self-regulate. Parents, for the most part, know how to talk about a balanced diet. Eat your vegetables, limit the candy, etc. But how many parents know how to talk about a balanced social media diet?
