My work for the past several years has been developing experiences that can exist across multiple platforms–books, television, gaming, social media, and more–but with a focus on digital. These experiences are sometimes story-based and sometimes not. The story-driven products are my favorite, because I love creating characters and story worlds.
One example of my work is Kaimira, which launched in books with Candlewick Press and Walker Books and included cross-platform co-development with BBC Worldwide that included graphic novels, gaming, film, and more. In the case of Kaimira I started with a series of print novels, but the transmedia planning happened early in the process.
More recently I’ve focused on digital product development at Highlights for Children. This includes puzzle apps, interactive ebooks, enhanced magazines, game websites, online communities, and more. Never a dull moment, and always something new to learn.
