Story has always been king.

The tools have changed, from drawings on cave walls to twitter novels, but the role of story has not.

My work for the past few years has been conceiving and developing stories that can be told across multiple platforms– books, television, gaming, social media, and more. Books tend to be my favorite medium, so I often start there, but the transmedia planning starts early in the process.

The best example of my work is Kaimira, which launched in books with Candlewick Press and Walker Books and will ultimately move into graphic novels, gaming, film, and more.

I’ve worked on projects in other genres and age groups as well, from comedy to science fiction, and from preschool to teen.
