I recently joined Highlights for Children as Director, Children’s Digital Content. I’m part of the editorial group in Honesdale, PA. The emphasis is on “content,” as my main job is creating great content for the web, smart phones, tablets, consoles, and any other digital platforms that are meaningful in the lives of kids.

I also write children’s books. The Sky Village (book 1 of the Kaimira series) is my first book. My pen name for the series is Monk Ashland.

I also work on cartoons, online communities, games, and other stuff for kids. Though the novel is my favorite way to tell a story, my usual approach is that of a transmedia storyteller.

I also do occasional consulting, ranging from safety/privacy in kids’ communities to full-fledged creative development of transmedia entertainment properties.
